Although I had been at college now for almost two years I had had almost zero contact with the men on my course. During the first year I had been seeing someone from back home, but things didn’t really work out for us and at the end of the summer last year we both decided to call it quits on the whole thing. We were both upset but it was too hard being away from each other during term time. In my second year I shut myself away a bit because I needed to be doing better on my course and it was also a good way to forget about the pain of splitting up with my last boyfriend. Towards the end of the year though, as guy who had actually asked me out in the first year started to talk to me again, and it seemed like he was still interested in me. He told me that he had tried to forget about me but his mind kept coming back to me which I thought was sweet. I must admit that I had liked him in the first year but I couldn’t do anything then because of my commitment at the time.
About a week before the end of the term this guy asked me out on a date, and I was not going to turn down the opportunity again! I felt like I owed him and me the chance to see if it could go anywhere. I didn’t have long to prepare for the date so I jumped online to try and find a nice maxi dress that would be just right for the date. I came across a really nice dress on Very.co.uk knowing that it would arrive in plenty of time.
When it arrived in the post I knew it was absolutely perfect for our date. I needed something to wear which would make me feel attractive and help me with my building nerves! As soon as the dress was over my head I felt better, and I felt sure that the date was going to be a great success!
